Prospective evaluation of socket shield technique for immediate implant placement in anterior maxilla

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to report four year implant survival rate for immediate placement using socket shield technique. Objectives included evaluation esthetic outcomes and any complications associated with this Material methods: This is a prospective cohort 10 consecutive patients Implant between maxillary first premolars Data were collected (PPD, BOP, PES, buccal width keratinized mucosa, peri-apical radiographs photographs) assess compare changes in peri-implant tissues pre-operative follow up visits. Results: All implants osseointegrated successfully without adverse events. Peri-implant probing revealed healthy conditions terms pocket depth bleeding on probing. Mean mucosa 4.1 achieved. A mean pink aesthetic score 12.3 recorded. Conclusion: Within limitations study, results suggesting that technique effective maintaining hard soft tissue architecture anterior region delivers high shorter duration treatment period. However, randomized other techniques needed draw definitive conclusion.
